It's not like your gonna scare anyone away on a final table with a limp preflop unless you have some respect on the table.
And lets face it most if not all of the final table players have probably played with you before at one stage or another.
You gave AJ a chance to see the flop and maybe he hit or was slow playing you coz he knew or had an idea you might push so he let you hang yourself.
Not knowing the outcome I assume AJ called and kicked your arse off the table. LOL.
Help me on this one.

Macca as you know with only 150 to 200 runners on the 888/Pacific Poker site we get to play with a lot of players more than once in a tourney. By the time you've played say 3 in a day and like myself 4 to 5 times a week you get to know your opponents.
I have been on trishams table at least 8 times this week and AK's at least 4 times. I'm sure as I said most on the final table would have played one another at least more than once before.
And as far as calling AK I would have done it in a heart beat if I had the cards or were slow playing him. As most who have played with me know I prefer trapping or slow playing big cards.
No need for Idiot pills when logic takes place Macca but I am heavily medicated most of the time.
And thank you for your thoughtful comments too benny the cunt. It does at time seem like I take a truck full of medication on a daily basis just to stay alive. Try 12 per day not including 4 to 6 panadole on some really bad days M8.

benny the cunt if you don't know me by now you never will. There was no malice or intention to belittle AK in the above comment in any way other than having a bit of fun with someone I chose call a mate.
My table talk is fairly open and never meant to be nasty. You will never hear me call another player a donk or moron or anything of that nature which I have been a witness to on too many occations while playing on 888/PP.
I was under the impression that we were mates of some sort and the above would have been taken in the correct manner.
Unfortunately, I wasn't aware there was a sensative issue between myself and AK. That was until I read Aarons recent reply posts towards me assuming I'm gunning for him in some way or form relating to him being unemployed etc.
If that were the case why, why, would I even bother to talk to him on PP or offer GL or try and help find him employment via my network of past friends and acquaitances????
Are you aware of my attempts at finding him work were in vain due to him not having transport. For what it's worth I did talk briefly to him last night regarding a position at Munno Para which is near rail transport.
For what it's worth, I did ask AK last nite if he was going to the Wheaty tonite as I was hoping to catch up with but he said he wasn't going.

Re: Help me on this one.
Anyway, back on topic.
AJG's stack size before the hand started was 27k. As in, after he'd posted the BB. His flop lead of 5,500 left him with 22k. So he has me covered, but this is for his tournament. Now, here's my line of thinking.
AJG and I had started play on the first table together. In that time I noticed him play pretty tight. He opened A6o to 75 at 15/30 from the CO, only the BB called. AJG called bets from the BB all the way, and then checked back the river on an A95r flop. So he plays his weak Aces pretty passively.
I did 4b him early on, and it worked. There were a few limpers at 15/30, and AJG opens to 110 from the CO. I repop to 415 from the BB with T8cc. Folds back around to AJG, who tanks, "I'll show you respect this time
" and folds.
My UTG limp: is supposed to convey a strong hand, or a big Ace. Obviously this did not have the affect I intended. I know that AJG is a thinking player, he knows that I'm a thinking, he knows that I know he's a thinking player... I kinda wish he had opened with his hand, as my limp/shove would've worked at this stage. The main mistake in the hand is limping preflop. I still like my flop shove.
His flop lead to me suggested he has an Ace or a Queen. He could also bet a 6, but with that bet size, I didn't see him leading on a 6. I discounted all high Aces (A9+), as with only one limper and the SB completing, I figured he would be raising those preflop. So I narrowed down his flop lead to weak Aces, and Queens.
The main question that ran through my head was "Can I get him to fold a weak Ace here?" And I kept coming back to yes. The UTG limp, my (relatively, it was only 5secs or so) snap shove, it all seemed to fit. Combined with the way he played the A6 hand, and his forum posts (you come across as a bit of a nit
) I felt it was the right move.
He never calls me on a Q here - obv he is calling on all funky two pair type hands. This is a move I NEVER make, if I'm going to throw it in on a bluff I make sure to at least have some sort of draw (gutshot, bottom pair). I strongly believed it was the right play though.
Results, if anyone is interested:
I'd do it again.
Edit: I have since realised however that this move does not work with 10BB. I will not often (if ever) limp with an Ace UTG at a 7 handed table with 10bbs. In fact I would probably never do it.

Re: Help me on this one.
This hand is OK to push but definitely not from that position. On further thought even a push UTG here is a bad move. At that stage of the tournament with shortish stacks, one or two players who have A9+ and KQ/QJ/JK is probably going to call and you are way behind.
So really there is no choice - FOLD.
