And really - if a show can make everyone who watches it root for a serial killer, it's doing something very well.

hehe

You're exactly right Dave - it IS odd that we're all cheering for a serial killer.

Have recently introduced Bec to Dexter (Bec, this is Dexter, say hello) and she's now completely hooked on it. Midway through season 2 and she has this sad look on her face so I ask her what's wrong and she goes "I don't want Dexter to get caught!" :D

There there, little bear.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Well, not only is he only targeting people that meet his rather strict code, but u cant help feeling for him given his childhood...
If u ask me, given that, he seems to have turned out OK!
Most people would have probably ended up drugged out and on the psychiatrists lounge :)

Because killing people is the better option.

If we all conveniently ignore the whole murder being bad thing, he only kills bad people!

There's worse things he could be doing :P

Plenty of States in America do just this, some even claim Texas doesnt limit it to only bad people either... (is not execution nothing bu State sanctioned murder?)...
Pity they couldnt find a reason to off Bush before he ran for President!

I completely ignore the whole murder is wrong thing with Dexter! :)
