about 5 weeks ago i basically folded down to make final table at my usual venue, went in 9th with 1k, blinds at 500/1000

biggest factor was i was dealt the button but anyway through a series of luck first up, great cards in the middle then being heads up against a complete novice i went on to win. Patience sometimes is a virtue
Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

At the Wheatsheaf just got crippled when my JJ got undersetted by 66 was down to 300 when blinds were 500/1000 100 ante, was an insane night, hitting a straight flush vs the nut flush certainly helped my stack in the later stages of the tourney

Last night at the Brighton Metro, bad bad night to start. Ended up on the badbeat table where I gave a few of my own (AA v 22 to river a 2 :) ) So I come back after 2nd break with 2K, blinds 500/1000. I sat down as the dealer, slow table & no cards, by the time I was BB it was 1000/2000 and I was allin blind. didnt even look. board was 67892, I didnt even look until all cards out, and turned over 53 to give me the 11.5K pot.
next hand I complete from the SB with 89dd, flop came Ts7sQs chk, chk, chk, turn is a Jc and I push got both to call with As and Ks respectively... no spade on the river YAY. Sat down at the FT with just under 60K in the chip lead! only hands I won I only picked up the blinds, and got down to 40K with 3 left (5K/10K). I was middle stack. chipleader raises to 20K (I only saw minraises preflop all night, except for my own), I look down at AK and put the rest of my chips in the middle. Chipleader calls and flips A7o... only card I remember is the river.... a 7! But as soon as he flipped I said "Sure, here comes a 7!"
Image ...11.59% of bad beat stories are just misplayed hands ...
