this was the west indies team though
DM Richards, O Phillips, RA Austin, TM Dowlin, FL Reifer*,DE Bernard, CAK Walton†, DJG Sammy, KAJ Roach, TL Best
apparently they are on strike over pay at the moment, so none of the first choice players were playing.
still good for them to get a win, but its not really a true win.

Re: Ashes 2009
It's still the West Indies and it's still Bangladesh.
Windies 3rd rate team (assuming that's their 2nd rate team listed there) should still be beating Bangladesh.
Good on them, great to see.

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Re: Ashes 2009
would south australia regularly beat bangladesh?
i think they proabbly would, but the equivalent in teh WI wouldn't be i dont think.
i reckon that if bangladesh cant beat a second rate WI team ( WI are ranked 7th in tests, bangladesh 9th) then they shouldn't have test status i dont think

But they did, and they do.
Test rankings aren't all they're cracked up to be either.

no, rankings aside, i think that they should have a realistic chance of beating a second team of any other nation (meybe with the exceptions of the very best teams)
if geelong/st kilda put out a complete second side, melbourne would smash them, and they should, there should be no arguments about it.
same should be in any top flight competition
which leads me back to the premier league LOL

You have zero idea what you're talking about with regard to the premier league
Would you say Bangladesh have improved since they first came into the test scene?

i am not going to go over that convo again pete, because its old ground
but with regards to bangladesh, i agree that they have improved, but i still don't think they are at a level where they are competitive in tests

Re: Ashes 2009
The point about the premier league wasn't a discussion topic. It's a fact that you'll just have to accept
Love you benny the cunt! <man hug>
Yep I reckon it's fair to say Bangladesh have improved, but I will confess I'm not exactly keeping up with their results.
I'm more getting at the fact that they have improved at all.
Why do you think that might be?
