Re: PNW Comments about pub poker players
im still not convinced i consistently do it, but if i have done, i dont look at the card, sit there for 5 seconds with a smile on my face, then deal it.
(and usually when i am all in about to deal the river, i close my eyes and turn away and deal it.)

No, you don't do that. The card is dealt up, and down, in one motion. A few seconds. But when you turn the card over, the view is to you first, then down for the rest of the table.
Its not like its a huge thing - I've been noticing it for months, but never said anything cos its not out of line, and didn't give a second thought to it off the table. I only bought it up today because your post reminded me.

I think you should do it only when playing against AK
I'm not perfect. I'm what perfect aspires to become

This. I was going to ask This.
I understand you want to be able to best interpret how the hand was being played out for future reference, but I could see your comments and actions possibly influencing play.
I think we all know everyones position on this subject already.
The comment I made about why i wanted to know the potsize was made well after the hand had finished. As soon as TD said stop, i did, and didnt say a word... He had walked off, and it was a few hands later that I explained why I was interested in the potsize as he asked me... And i didnt expect the dealer to actually say like "there is 9950 in the pot' basically as you have said, just stack it so that its readable...
BigPete33 wrote:benny the cunt - I like the justification of calling pre with K4 that I heard last night...... "I hit 2 pair" <cue facepalm>.
Yes that was funny...
But such a standard comment, its crazy isnt it?
At my local away venue a few weeks ago I had 99, only had one caller flop was T75r, I really wasnt too concerned about the T and bet about 2/3 the pot. caller jams. i tank, and tank... Ive seen him bluff alot (stupidly showing too many that werent called) and decided to call. I also wasnt hurt beyond comeback if I lost. He flips A5. Dealer is drunk and very slow and I comment on the shove, saying nice semi-bluff, he says "NO, I always hit trip 5s when I have A5 and pair my 5 on the flop"...
of course, what do you think the river was?

Re: PNW Comments about pub poker players
player in the B&G tracey, (really nice lady) firmly believes that jacks and deuces always come out on the flop together.
whenever i am sitting on the table with her, we always argue about it (in a fun way). i tell her its utterly ridiculous, and she says it always happens (she knows its silly, but she hams it up whenever i sit on her table)
usually it ends in "just you watch"
well one night we started counting how many J boards had a 2 in them as well
that night about 70% of the boards that had a J also had a 2. (and there were a lot, it was like 8/12 or something)
funny as hell night.

My point is that if you are not involved in the hand then you really shouldn't be making ANY comments let alone comments that could affect the way a hand is played out.
