i think Chelsea will have a good shot at the title, expecting a marquee signing, fingers crossed for ribery, my favourite player

He seems to have indicated he only wants to go to Real Madrid, that might throw in a spanner in the works.
Bayern are still claiming they will refuse to sell, but I think we all know that's bs - if Real offered 80 mil pounds they'd sell him for sure.

basically the world sucks for me ever since sbs lost the rights to host that monday night epl wrap up show they had

i know i should just get satelite but i cant really justify that cash just for me to watch liverpool every once and a while,
see what happens to a redblooded sports lover when you add a wife and kids,.... ive been newtered

Aston Villa look to be signing Downing from Middlesborough (even though he'll be injured for 6 months!).

This might mean that Young could be expected to leave Villa, quite a few clubs interested in him, and why not? - he certainly had a great season.

didnt they sell barry i think it was, surely they dont want to let two quality players go

they were pushing for top 4 for most of last season

They did sell Barry - to Man City. Was interesting enough in itself as his initial claim when so very nearly joining Liverpool was he wanted to play Champions League football. So he goes and signs for Man City the next season who are not only NOT in the CL but will also need to finish in the top 4 to do so, and I don't think they will - but I do think it will be very close. If they do scrape in it will be Arsenal that slip.

Villa were serious top 4 contenders for the 1st half of last season, after that they lost the plot and basically looked tired. They have a great manager but not a great squad past the first 11. No real depth to speak of so yeah I agree they'd be mad to sell anyone else that's any good!

It will be interesting to see how Bellamy goes sitting on the bench at Man City. Anyone who has signed for them last season has basically done so on the premise of 'they're going places' but for the likes of Bellamy it won't be with him playing much part
