Implied Odds
The profit vs bet expectation that is made based on current pot odds and additional odds based on money expected to be bet later in the hand.
Pot Odds
In poker, pot odds are the ratio of the current size of the pot to the cost of a contemplated call. In other words, if the pot contains $100, and a player must call $10 to stay in the hand, then the player has 100-to-10, or 10-to-1 (commonly expressed as 10:1), pot odds. Return on Investment

I was trying to explain to someone afew weeks ago the concept of +EV and -EV plays. Definitely a good idea to get a glossary going of these terms.

I was trying to explain it to James last night. He seems to think that EV plays will only apply to someone who plays a lot of poker because it will spread out over a period of time.
