Dead stacks are really pissing me off

We're on the bubble in the Pregame Stretch atm. There are 4 dead stacks left, and one just doubled all in blind.

This has to stop.

its hard to build a chip stack against dead stacks.

myself and aaron were on a table in the 6max once where we were the only live runners.

we both doubled our stacks by taking it in turns stealing the blinds, but then after we knocked one out, some dude with 3 times our stack came to the table. it was pretty unfair, because there was no way we had an opportunity to win that many chips

Yeah, that happened in the Sunday $50 6max, there were only 3 of us actually playing...
Made similar comment in chat, 'this sux, only a 3 handed table'
And we were actually interleaved to, which also changed the dynamics of play, as in there was always a dead blind every hand, makes it harder to play your good hands strong preflop, especially if the other player folds before you, as you only have 1 person to possibly call...

Maybe they should be given say, 3 levels to actually make some input to show they are there, and if they don't they are immediately taken out and tables rebalanced?
We've all seen this live a few times, when the TD's set out the stacks for those registered but a few don't turn up, usually when they have rang a friend to reg for them cos they arent physically there yet and never make it... Its fair enough if people are a bit late in, but to reg and never play is hard on the others, especially as benny the cunt and I have said at a 6max table with 3 or 4 missing!
And especially to players who try to reg for the freerolls but they are full, but end up ahving X players not even bother to play...

i like the pokerstars method where the dead stacks are just folded, and there are no showdowns for them

I think something like 'if you weren't actually at the keyboard to click ok and take your seat, then you don't even get to sit at the table yet' would be cool.

Makes it hard to blind out stacks then though.

benny the cunt, that is certainly way better than 888's policy, but it still doesnt allow for a real player to come to the table instead. Especially like in the cases we both apparently experienced where half the table or more were deadstacks....
Damn it was hard enough with 3 dead, must have been hell with just you and aaron....
Atleast you were at the table with a mate though, so couldve been worse (but not much)...
Damn, can you imagine being unlucky enough in a 6max to be seated with 5 deadstacks??? Although the orbits would go so quick you'd pick up a fair stack pretty quick... Just raise every hand

Pete, in a live tourney the deadstacks still post even if they are eventually occupied, so shouldnt they also online?? just gets annoying when there is still a deadstack at the table after X levels... But it happens on every online site, so Im not sure anything will ever be done about it....
Although, on 888, they could easily implement it such that if you dont click the 'You have been seated...' dialog within a certain time you and your stack are removed and tables rebalanced??? Even put a countdown timer on that dialog...

Slightly aside from this, but I think 888 should introduce late reg...
