I don't look too fondly on claims of "not being able to do something" because that's just bulldust, it can be done - they just don't want to enough.

Yeah, that was my polite version of "it's an absolute disgrace"

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Re: 888 Poker Software
Which is crazy given the amount of money poured into online poker every day, if they spent to fix a few basic things they could probably make so much more money!
personally I cant understand it...

Re: 888 Poker Software
especially since they are making a big push into australia at the moment. i would have though that the software would be the BIGGEST priority to make sure it is good enough.
personally, if it wasn't for 888pl there would be no way i would play on 888. the software has got better recently, but its still pretty bad

100% agree! I recently got an email from them to participate in a survey (not much of which had anything to do with improvements) and to the question "Would you recommend 888 to others?" I answered with definitely NOT...

And the improvements were so minor it was hardly worthy of an update! If they are going to bother with an update, atleast make more changes, I mean the only thing I notice is the bet slider...

BUMP
Ok guys.
I have been asked to submit a brief to our CEO on all the issues that we and players have with 888.
There are four major areas that I need to look at:
1.) Support services - support from 888 in regards to queries from 888PL players, turnaround time, accuracy and customer satisfaction levels.
2.) Liquidity - this refers to how many players are on their site at any one time and how this compares to Stars, Tilt, etc.. How long does it take for a SNG to fill. Amount of tournaments ran? The difference between the sites? The value placed on players, etc.. Average field size of tournaments.
3.) Australian Prime Time Schedule - GTD's types of tournaments, number of tournaments ran during this time.
4.) And finally the biggy, the difference between software used on the big three and 888. What players want? Updates required? Functionality to be added, etc...
I will need to submit this report in the AM tommorrow. So I will be working on this from home tonight. Get in now if you have any feedback to offer or would like to see any changes or added functionality to the exisiting software.

Re: 888 Poker Software
Rebuys are tough on 888. Players should be able to rebuy before the 1st hand is dealt, at the moment you have to wait for the 1st hand to be dealt before you get the option to rebuy. Double rebuy and auto rebuy are good options that the big sites provide. Also, in 888 rebuys if you loose your stack and get moved to another table you can't rebuy back in- its a glitch that only happens if you are stacked and they are balancing tables.
And I'd love a time bank button.
The main reason I play on the other sites is the lack of games after 6pm Aussie time. I want more MTTs in the $15 to $50 range.

If you ask me, Muhammed Ali in his prime was much better than anti lock brakes.
