Bad news is that it won't happen next season. We are looking at 2010.
Any changes of this magnitude will actually be released via information pack (flier,etc.....) and website and we have decided any changes that are big to the competition need to be communicated properly and fairly and we need a six to eight week lead time on creating info packs, printing them and distributing to all players.
i belive this is one thing that you guys seem to be doing really well.
Would you belive that in my hockey association i was emailed by the president of the association about the fact that we should interprete a rule a different way to the way it is currently ( due to a international change), as a senior umpire i suggested maybe leaving it till next season ( 2 minor games to go) or if we do have to change making sure everyone knows and understands the change, by the way of email, newsletter etc,

nahh just start umpiring that way the players will work it out soon enough.
At least the 888pl have the players interests and fairness at heart when contemplating changing the goal posts ( most times )
