This.

I still get it in here vs these two opponents anyway.

Can find a fold vs BB, but its pretty hard. Going multiway with AKs is pure eww, but like you said, 4b, getting it in > 4b, folding.

then why not ship it in? give you more fold equity in the pot, and who knows, you might even induce a fold from the "doodle heads"?

Why raise - is it to find out where you're at? if so, when you got reraised, doesn't that tell you something? Or was it to push people off the pot, in which case you would have shipped it earlier.

because going to $25 after a raise of 3.25 doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

i wanted to play only against the fishes, not against the BB, who i thought would be raising with a pretty big range to isolate one or both of the fishes. so i was trying to "re-isolate" if that makes sense.

Are you really playing AK here for value, or to take the pot down pre? You gotta think that your K *might* be dead, and that one or more of your A's are missing. Exactly what value are you playing for?

As I said earlier, this is *exactly* the spot where I've lost countless pots and now I can fold in that situation. I don't like it, 'cause AK *is* a big hand, but too much action here for an unmade hand - and what are you going to do when BB leads at the flop when you've missed? Even if you've hit, are you sure you've got the best hand? if money is going in anyway, get it in whilst it might up your equity in the pot.

playing for value here.

the reason i decided to play it this way was purely because there were 2 people that were playing 80% of hands.

i would have played it differently in different circumstances

lol, it did read a bit that way :D

Nah, I mean I get suckered into calling off my stack with AK when I've been 3, 4 or 5 bet.

in these cases with AK, if you 4bet, you HAVE and i mean HAVE to get it in if they shove on you.

even if you know you are against QQ+ & AK only, you still have correct odds most of the time.

so the alternative is to flat if they 3bet (or alternatively just flat their 3bet).

by 4betting and then folding, you effectively turn your hand into a bluff.

i am usually pretty comfortable with getting it in for 100bb stacks with AKs, slightly less so with AKo.

AK *is* a bluff tho - you have nothing but air.

What AK is good for is fold equity, its good for a strong raise, but don't get married to it (this is my line of thinking for me)

getting it in first, or calling with it? I'll push with it, but no longer will you find me calling my stack off with it.
