Meta Game. Soul Read.
AK No good?
No has raised preflop. Therefore lot of limpy hands are out there. Villain in SB, 200 to stay in to win 1000. Why Not he says?
Flop comes out.
2nd Pair, Check to control the pot, see where other people are.
Hero Bets 600 (Guessing you? Username is Trishan). Hmm on the leaderboard. Must be a competent player. Trying to get value bets, or take pot down with half pot bet. Still am priced in if BB calls. Might Float this flop. BB Folds.
Hero Stack Now 1/3 committed from 3690 down to 2690.
Turn comes out.
Villain Checks for control. Hero, Bets 1/2 his stack Why? If he has made trips, or has top pair would be shipping it in, to get the most value for his money or at least double his stack.
Bets 1/2 pot again. Firing a second bluff? What is he trying to represent? Everything is saying that the range includes Ak Aq, High overcards. Possible flush draw scenarios.... Even 78 for straight draw opportunity. Even over cards. Everything else would be shipped in to get most value out of the hand and shortish stack.
River comes out.
Villain Checks to induce last bet. Brick 7 means he has busted gut shots, made his straight. Or any other number of hands. As far as Villain is concerned, the hand was floated and as it stands, you really haven't shown any strength or dominance, inclined to make him think you have anything decent.
Hero Bets all in, villain calls. Results obviously.
Probable hands (Loss). A10, A8, QK, K10, K9, K5.
Probable hands (Win). AA, KK, QQ, JJ, J10, J9, 78, 56, 57, 67, any assorted number of cards.
So, in other words, your wondering why someone can call, without trying to define a hand?
