I have to agree - as I picked up my replacement Samsung (don't ask) this afternoon, the lady asked me if I'd prefer an iPhone.

I glanced sideways at the fourteen year old bloke literally screaming in ecstasy over his next to me ... and politely declined.

Samsung is good value. I have SGH-G800. Fantastic phone. No problems with it whatsoever.

Also got the Nokia 6220 classic for work last week. Not too shabby.

I still love it, what can I say.
And I'll hack my way to ringtones I want, Apple won't stop me, just need to research!

much easier way to get ringtones

select song you want in itunes
in "get info", set a start and end time for the ringtone you want (30sec or less)
from the "advanced" menu, select "convert to acc" (or whatever it is)
that will create a new, 30 sec track in your lib
copy the actual file to your desktop
DELETE from lib (this one is important)
rename file on desktop to *.m4r
copy back to your lib
check in your ringtones folder
