You stake someone because you think you can make money from it.

Shouldn't be a token thing.
I wouldn't stake someone I didn't beleive had a chance.

I wouldn't sell my ticket for a reduced rate with a stake, if I didn't know who they were, either.

Personally, if I was paying anywhere near half price for a ticket, I'd pay for the full amount. I'm going in to the event to win, or make as MUCH as I can for myself, stuffed if I'm sharing that with someone if I do all the work. And no, what you did to win the ticket means nothing.

I have stakes in 4 people for the GF - including myself. Although, I did win three tickets so it does make it cheaper ;)

And for the record, I sold two of my tickets for $0.00 and a 50% stake. In effect, I paid for two entries for people.

Just to draw some light on who would pay what and why I'll tell you my story.

I actually offered to pay $250 plus 50/50 chop on any prize pool just to be part of the GF weekend. Two people said yes and both opted out at the last minute!!!!!!!

Had I seen this post on Wednesday I would have jumped at the chance to offer him/her the $250 my missus drew from the bank to pay the last guy.

And I'd also be happy to chop any cash prizes I may be lucky enough to receive!!!

WHY you ask??????????

Because if it wasn't for their good fortune I wouldn't be able to buy for that amount.

And let's face it, who wouldn't want to be part of the very first $100k GF and soak up the atmosphere. I haven't got one foot in the grave but who knows if I'll get another chance like that in my lifetime.

So, for those of you who were lucky enough to have one or more, enjoy the moment and think of those who haven't.

I'm guessing the tickets been sold but I left a message anyway. I've got $250 in my pocket to give the rebuys a crack on Friday nite assuming I'm not crook like last Saturday for the Ark.

Apart from that I'll be there and have a crack at some of the other games on offer so "Good luck" to you all.

think of this for a second bob.

if you do well, and win 5K or more, would you wanna give someone else 2.5K? would you give them 15K?

is it worth 250 more up front to ensure you keep all of your winnings?

Yes , i would , as i would still be 2.5k or 15k in front .

It is not about the $$ , albiet that is a bonus .

For me , it would be the participation in such an event .. ;)

For the one who knows they are a shoe in to make the $$ , yes without a doubt !

I too will have a crack in the other events , also with the $250 i have for a deal ticket like this one .. ;)

GL to all those who have their tickets .. May the cards flop in your favor !

Hi there benny the cunt. It doesn't really matter too much M8 as he's already sold his ticket too. :( Seems like the poker gods are sending me a message in a big way. :D

But for me it's like I said in my post. It was a chance for me to play in the very first $100k + GF catch up with online people and any cash prizes would certainly have been a bonus.

But for me to outlay $250 compared to $500 I'm already $250 in front. I'd say most of the multi ticket winners would NOT have spent anything like $500 let alone $250 to win their additional seats. So, selling for $250 and a share of any winnings is a reasonable deal.

The plus for me would be that it would have allowed me to enjoy the whole event and providing I stick to the goals there could be some additional cash at the end for both of us. So, I think that's a fair deal.

Meeting and playing the online guys from interstate and to see how different they actually play live would be fun. Next would be to make it to the first break and hopefully build my stack.

The same applies to each session and aim for being at the tables for day two. Obviously, making final table would be the ultimate goal other than winning the whole thing.

Taking money out of my pocket is a whole lot harder than winning some and putting it in my pocket if you get my drift!!! :)

Again, I wish you good luck and I'll see how I go in the rebuys Friday nite.

Hey Sinitster.
What about if we get benny the cunt to sponsor us????

He shells out the $500 he never had to spend on us and we each give him 50% of our winnings so he gets 100% return!!! :o

That's assuming we can cash out hey LOL
