Re: Ask Garth!
Leggo Poker is a good site in terms of both video training, pro blogs and their forum. Others of the same calibre include cardrunners and pokerVT both which have some good videos by well known pros, and 2+2 is a must!

Even though this is the ASK GARTH thread and several people, who do not have the name Garth, answered already. I have to concur with my brother's opinions.
Most generic books will help you understand the basic to intermediate stuff, but when you get into the advanced stuff you really need some form of tutor to help put it into words or pictures you can understand as an individual.
In saying that every poker player should have a library that has the following: Lee Nelson's Kill Phil and Kill Everybody (a good mix of concepts from basic to slightly advanced), Harrington on Holdem (all three volumes and contains a lot of theory that is the backbone of modern play today), Read em and Weep (Navarro and Hellmuth in discussing limbic brain function and inferring that knowledge into reading people; good basic read - Caro is just outdated now but still a decent read)
Then you want to add a mix of books written by pros as they all have different approaches and thoughts on the game and you take it all on board and find a style that works for you.
The stuff on 2+2 is great for that, discussing anything hand related in a forum is educational as you can quite often ask for a more simpler explanation and someone will be able to offer their advice and translation for you.
If there is one site you want to check out for tutoring then I would recommend Stoxpoker or Leggo. Both good sites with some real decent contributors.

Re: Ask Garth!
I tried Leggo. I thought there was more of a focus on cash games than MTTs. That said our very own Jay Kinkade has some very good MTT vids and the best part is you can actually understand what he's saying. American accents suck balls.

Garth, in Australia do you have to pay tax on tournament wins such as the Aussie Millions? I know in Vegas you need to pay the state tax and then the federal tax, but when you come back to Australia you get the fed tax back? Do you know if our government taxes us on poker wins?

Hi there HZ. I'm not sure if you know that Garth is in Adelaide for the 888PL Grand Final this weekend. I'm sure he will answer your query when he returns to Victoria.
