you double your buy in first hand, what now ?

Postby krunchie » Thu Oct 29, 2009 10:47 pm

So i played a spot of 5c 10 c today on a whim ( dont play the ring games all that much)

Very first hand i post i get bullets

flop comes [ad 9d 7d]

i had raised 3x pre and got only i caller so i bet the pot and promptly got re raised to $3

i decide to shove and go all in for my 10 buck buy in
and get insta called he shows [ js 8d]
remaining cards brick out and i double in my first hand

my question is what would you do now

1/ wait a few hands and cut and run

or

2/ get straight back in there and see what happens
Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

With players jamming like that you stick in there a double up a few times more.

dont ever leave unless they give you a reason not to.

what sort of table selection do you use krunchie?

usually i sit on a table, and hopefully i have chosen a good table and there are fishes on there. if there isn't, then i leave straight away.

other than that, if there is a fish on the table, i will stay there until they leave.

I dont mind being the guinea pig so have at me boys

As i mentioned before i rarely play ring games due to my lack of sucsess on a short term scale.

i dont have a sellection process and to be honest i dont know how too,

might be a good chance for you boys to outline the selection criteria again.

If its a Full Tilt Cash Out tourny, cash out :)

But seriously. I definitely stay - I am playing ring games to make money, not win a bit and leave because I'm scared of losing it. Besides, if I leave the table I have to buy in with the same amount for another hour... so there's no leaving the table with $20, buying in for $10 etc.

Although, if you are happy making one buyin, then definitely hit and run.

and hence we hit the seriousness of what i was asking

I pretty much know the basics boys, even though im not a regular ring game player.

I guess when you get down to it i was asking, when is it time to run from a game, when you double your buy in etc etc

i guess this example gave me an interesting way of posing the question because i doubled first hand, but in reality i was asking a more basic question
