It'll be funny when variance strikes one of us and we lose a few hundred at NL50/NL100 and want to shoot ourselves in the face.

decided to play some heads up 25/50c while i was eating brekky this morning.

picked up 55 first hand, dude opens for 1.5, i 3bet to 5, he calls.

flop is 57J :D

i lead for 7, he calls.

turn is a rag, i lead for 18, he jams, i snap and he rolls 66 LOL

good times.

Nice to see another scholar of Stud/8 in SA

I think on 5th street you could've just flatted, a pat 75 lo is very strong so i think you should be trying to keep the other opponents in rather than chase them out (had the players already called then a raise would be fine)also no 6's have been exposed so you also have redraws to a 6 lo and straight + the wheel draw. And even if your opponent with the 3 big cards showing hit a straight (or even 2 pair / trips) you then couldve jammed the bloke with 2 small pair.

This would give you an oppurtunity to scoop (or freeroll for half) of a 3 or even 4 way pot, that gets jammed on 6th, possibly 7th, rather than just to scoop a heads up pot that goes check/bet/call on the last 3 streets

just my thoughts

Yep

Got smashed already, jammed with [ah qh] on [jh 8h 5c], initial aggressor snapped with [kc qd]. [ks] on the turn.

Oh happy days!

Doing ok in a satellite though. 2/6 left, top 4 get $55 $750k guarantee satellite tickets.
