Comics, Movies, Old School.

Postby Brett Kay » Sun Feb 17, 2008 9:07 pm

Well guess this is more about upcoming movies that i am hanging out for.

Here is the list so far.
Hellboy 2: the golden army - Mignola does good work. Del Toro makes it good.

G.I Joe - Story sounding weak, but am in it for the memories. Snake Eye's and Storm Shadow F.T.W

Transformers 2 - Yeah i am a nerd. First one was good, More transformers in the second. Oh Yeah.

Indiana Jones and the kingdon of the Crystal Skull - Who doesn't love Indiana Jones and Harrison Ford?

Iron Man - Tony Stark being played by Robert Downey Jr. Stills are looking very good, not to mention the Iron Man suit looking awesome.

X Men Origins : Wolverine - Think this is more weapon X territory, but still should be interesting. Read something funny on zcultfm. Wolverine is only appearing in 60% of Marvel comics at the moment. Always a popular anti-Hero.

Batman: The Dark Knight - Batman Begins was good. This is looking very good. Heath Ledger as the Joker (R.I.P) supposedly going the more maniacal approach rather than the psychotic approach that Nicholson did in Batman

Wanted - Millar comic. Awesome story. Movie looks different. But should be watchable. Think of an office worker who gets picked on everyday by everyone finding out he is the son of the world's most dangerous killer. And then being de - pussified by Angelina Jolie

Speed Racer - Cmon, go speed racer go. More kiddie film than adult film.

21 - About the MIT blackjack Team. Andy Bloch (well known poker player) was one of the members. Be interesting to see how the system and counting went down.

The other boleyn girl - Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johannsen. Nuff Said.

Anybody Else, lets add them and form a master list.

Cheers,
Brett.

Dick Dastardly and Muttley. :-).

Hehehe, there is another Star Trek Film coming out as well, back at the academy. So could be interesting, but have always been a Star Wars person myself.

Really looking forward to most of those Brett.
Check out the shorts for IronMan on YouTube - does look good - the "suit" looks great. Quite like RDJ as Stark too.

if you look at the start of the first star wars movie, its "EPISODE IV - A NEW HOPE" - i suppose they decided the first parts were boring and decided to make the last 3 - but then later with CG etc they realised that a cash cow was just sitting there and made the first 3

Was actually nine parts dude - from memory anyway. But it was too long so Lucas decided to make the middle three as the movies and always intended to make, or at least try to make, the first three.

After Jedi.

The entire "space opera" as he put it, was divided up into 9 parts and he made 4 5 and 6.
