Re: Official Bragging Topic
Only time I went to the Cas, $2/$3 table, walked in with $100
get dealt A2 off suit 1st to act so I raise to $10!
fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, sb calls!
flop comes down as 2, 3, 4 rainbow...
I check, he bets $15, I raise to $30 thinking he on str8 draw!
he puts me all-in, so I call my remaining chips cause I'm pot committed, thinking at worst I can get a chop pot...
he rolls 5,6 off, I go oh I think I'm going home...
anyway
turn comes down as a 2, making me set, which didn't really help at the time,
river comes down an Ace which makes the Full House 2 full of aces!,
I take down a $130 pot...

Good Call thelaw88, I was trying to figure out the numbers and the action but gave up. Seems like an overly complicated way to say "I got my money in really bad."
If you ask me, Muhammed Ali in his prime was much better than anti lock brakes.

Re: Official Bragging Topic
I am REALLY new to poker despite what you may think (altho some of you prob know I am a noob). I only started playing seriously earlier this year. I satellited into the Melb Champs, played 2 days of poker against some of the best the country has to offer and I was hooked.
On day one I sat next to the guy who came 3rd in the Aussie Millions in 2008 I think (Christhanopolous). On day 2 I was put on a table of death - Tino Lecich (we discussed sports betting in depth), Steven Topakas (came 2nd in the event) & Sam Yousef (Crown High Stakes Reg.). I nearly got bashed by Tony Hachem and met Ben Delaney (tho he was pretty pissed at the time after losing a HUGE pot).
After that tournament I have played heaps of poker - mainly online. Of course I've always played poker socially - with family, drunk at 3am at a mates house etc. I have a LOOOONG way to go with my game, a lot of reading to do and hopefully in year or two I might have some decent results. My resume thus far is as follows:
Online:
Biggest Tournament Cash: Yet to get a good online cash apart from satellites. I did qualify for the $1,100 Melbourne Champs Main Event Online through a $40 satellite. I won a $1k package for the 888PL GF paying just $5. I will hopefully have a 4 figure cash 1 year from now.
Cash Games: Only started playing cash games in volume last month and at fairly low stakes. At 10NL I have got a few pots between $40 and $60. Still learning the ropes in cash games.
Live:
Finished 69th of 740 at the $1,100 buy-in 2009 Melbourne Champs
Freerolled into the $550 Shane Warne Celebrity Bounty Game (DNP AQ < AJ)
29th out of 260 at the 888PL GF (Bubble Bubble - story of my life)

Re: Official Bragging Topic
trishan, for someone that has only started playing recently, i must say i am impressed. you obviously have a lot of talent.
i think i have been playing online now for prolly 7 years, although only starting to take my game more seriously in the last 18 months or so.
good futures ahead of both of us hopefully.
