LOL my maths is wrong (because the stats from stove assume both players go all-in at the same time) The actual formula for scenario two (and even one) is REALLY complicated and depends on flops and at what point the money goes in.

The above shows the considerations you need to make when making a decision:

Min raising means
Increase in players  decrease equity

To be profitable:
Increase in return of min-raising over standard raising > decrease in equity

Ok.

So you are aware, late stages of a tournament, we are in the money.

This table had a VPIP of 16%. My two opponents had a VPIP of 18% and 22% respectively. Villain on the button actually had a 3 bet rate of 10.1% from the button though. Hence why I was looking for a spew. And I do have history on my two opponents with over 800 hands played over several tourneys (small data sample I know).

I'm not saying min raising is optimal either, but I needed to get value and every time I was raising standard I wasn't getting play, even from the BB. This deviated from normal operating procedures and I had some players that were more than likely going to play in this hand if I priced them in well enough.

We can debate all day about this but the fact of the matter is; I extracted 6 BB's from the SB and had villain commit all in on the turn when I had 88% equity in the hand.

I am quite happy with that result.

Reminds me of a hand played by one Darvin Moon this week........ Maybe he has inspired a new breed of maniacs....
If you ask me, Muhammed Ali in his prime was much better than anti lock brakes.
