no previous action, only been at the table 10 hands. on the river, villain INSTAshipped. comments on all streets would be great, particularly on my turn bet sizing. the only logical hand i can put villain on here is AQss

If he has AQss I'd say he repots on the flop. I would've made the flop $8 or more. Turn is fine, although something like $14-16 is also good. Yeah, I think I like that size more.

Umm... really a stats read. Its hard. Probably find a fold, JT got there too. You don't really get value from anything else, two pair should be c/c, you beat one set combo... yeah, weird spot but I think I fold.

The only read i get when i've been new to a table is chip stack sizes. This guy has already been in the thick of action and won him/herself a bit already, they are probably looser now. But ultimately you've got 40% of your stack already in the pot by the all-in from villain, and you dont have the nuts, or 2nd best even, and he could have practically any hand here, two spades, or J-10 as suggested.

A player that is cashed up will chase a big flush draw like that with 2 on the flop, and he probably puts you on a high pair or two pair (which against a flush is the same as trips) so he knows he has you beat. Of course he could be bluffing to.......but my guess is he's either turned or rivered you, and figures you wont be able to let go of your hand.

Because its cash, id prob call and id prob lose.

But id fold here in a tourny.

i ended up folding, i am pretty sure he had a flush. but i dont like my bet sizing, i think it was a bit small. if i went to 8.5 on the flop, then near potted turn, i would have gotten odds to call, even if he did get there.

In regards to the Hand Discussion:

You're bet sizing is ok as far as I am concerned, turn bet could be increased slightly.

With no stats on villain and very little information you have to consider his range for shoving the river.

Villains bet sizing is off on that river if he is looking to get paid off, but I think he shoves with the flush, straight, all sets and possible two pair combos of KQ K9 and Q9.

Your flat of his preflop raise does not indicate a hand of KK, AA or QQ. Rather I would place you in a hand range of marginal Aces, pocket pairs > JJ and suited connectors.

Villains river shove could be either a well timed river shove to try an extract max value from marginal hands, or an over reaction to a scare card when holding a strong hand that has been slow played. I don't think you beat much of his range here when he does shove, but I would assume the last hand he is putting you on is 66.

I would take notes on this player and try and get some history on him, if he is willing to spew on the river with marginal holdings then I would definitely go looking for him again.

2p2 reckon i played it terrabad, and should have gone to 9-11 on the flop, and potted turn. i disagree about the flop raise, but i think my turn bet should have been a lot bigger.
