Re: McQueens
single low-res pic of winners would not take up much room at all. 150 venues * 200KB photo = 3 meg a week. thats not much at all

Re: McQueens
So anyways, are you going to come down and play on Tuesday's or what?
There are some awesome venues going around on a Tuesday, but give McQueens a go for something different, you will be as pleasantly surprised as I was!!

fair enough, photos would turn into the thousands very quickly if everyone was given a camera.
maybe venue leaders or a group photo of the top 5 after each season? lol a NPL "yearbook" for each season could me made up with a TD or regular player providing a rundown on the movers and shakers in that region/venue?

Re: McQueens
Although I dont want to stray from the topic but
150 * 200kb = 30 Mb
as well as other images added these photos would add roughly 2-3GB a year, which would increase the bandwith substantialy also.
Come down to McQueens guys!

Come down to McQueens guys!
well it turns out that i cant multiply any more! well turns out that 5 years of uni for an engineering degree was a waste of time LOL.
you could get decent looking small photos for much less than 200K as well - probably more like 50kb.
also, what bandwidth are you talking about? just outgoing data from the server? i suppose all of these things would need to be taken into account.
McQueens is the place its at apparently, just to get it back on topic!

Re: McQueens
how much space- no of photo can be put to public viewed site such as available ie at photobucket. com or perhaps pisca/ googles site?
I have projected to obtain the top three players from each of the Barossa/Gawler venues and post maybe a visual leaderboard for entertainment and reference.
I like the idea of a reporter summarizing the weeks /months venues currently the thread for Studio 89 and Swish and to a lesser degree grant peppers - blue gums reports make for interesting reading when posted to.
How about a thread where each venue is given a topic/page
and all interested parties can post there ie Shannon does this already summarizing Williaston/ old spot venues --- matty norwood at the Kingsford.-- McQeens could be developed / -food/ stamps details /a photo of venue . There hav been several piecemeal posts scattered on the forum already.

Re: McQueens
KEEP THE PHOTO GALLERY IDEAS COMING GUYS.
What was once one mans idea has now been put to task by a number of people and that gives up a major melting pot of ideas.
I'm sure you guys will come up with a solution and who know, it might even get off the ground.
Tims taken some more pice of tonites tourney and also the winner. I think we had 91 runners tonite.
Sou only went ALLIN 7 times tonite. Six of them were b4 the first break, and got busted on the 7th one, LOL.
