First of all, I don't think I am out of the majority of regular posters league here. I just haven't focused on poker as much as I should over the past 18months and my game has suffered. But when I am fully focused and just thinking poker and I bring my A game then I am definitely on song and the results rack up.

2009 for me has just been a year of farting about, I have never had a decent score on Stars or Tilt but I did have patches of run good and then I would get bored half way through a tournament and look to donk off. Two weeks ago I sat down and dedicated one night a week to tournament play and had a few min cashes but I just can't close the deal at the moment.

Check out my poker rankings at:

http://officialpokerrankings.com/fullti ... 7.html?t=2

http://officialpokerrankings.com/pokers ... 4.html?t=2

I hope these links work otherwise just search AAOutdraw on Tilt and suckoutmgent on Stars. Pretty pathetic and you can see that my dedication just wasn't there for online poker.

But I have taken it very seriously on 888 which see me showing an ROI of 234% over 43 tournaments with an ABI of $11.64 and an ITM rate of 15.3%. Pretty decent?!!

So now on to my profile:

Name: Garth Kay
Favourite Hand(s): T8 and J8 Suited or non suited (generally)
Favourite Venue: Hmmmm, I guess I should perhaps remain neutral on this one.
Commenced playing (date and venue): Pokerroom in 2006 as well as The Italian Australian Club in Morwell (Vic), April 2006.
Tournaments Played: Well over 200 live and over 1000 online
Most Notable Poker Achievement: Back to back final tables (one unofficial FT) in the 2008 Vic Champs at Crown in the two largest fields of the Championships: 4th in Event 5 for ~$25,000 and 10th in the Main Event for ~$12,000. This was even more notable for me because it came at a time when I was doubting my skills/talents at poker and I decided that I would let my first foray into casino major tournaments be the judge. At the end of those two weeks I actually had met a few of the Aussie regs who actually made positive comments about my plays and reading ability. Nothing boosts the ego or confidence than respect from your peers (betters).
Poker Idol: Mike Matusow; you only need to read his story to understand why, but I empathize with his plight as he lacks/ed discipline and had very little respect for the dollar or BRM.
Most respected poker nemesis: Hmmmm Nemesis: Don't really have one. Most enjoy taking money off: Nathan Butler
Best finish/return/prize at an 888PL Tournament: Does it matter?
Favourite aspect of 888PL or the competition: Interacting with players on a daily basis and helping/watching those players who really enjoy their poker improve and begin to dominate the game.
