1st one, make it like 850 or 900 to go, raising to 500 (a little over 3x) when there is 3-4 limpers is just not enough.

2nd one, why the min-raise if you know its a passive table. its not like 99 is a monster, i would be happy to just get the blinds and limpers here. punish the limpers more and make it 1100 minimim here. i think as blinds get bigger then 2.5x or something similar can work just as well, but you are always asking for trouble with a min-raise.

PUNISH THE LIMPERS, don't price them in.

1st one agree - should have made it more.

2nd one - I was the BB and made it standard 3xBB bet (1200)

Generally more irritated by the limp-call everyone seems to use with very marginal and poor quality starting hands.

Do not go all in pre-flop with Ace rag in a freeroll!

How many calls were you pushing over tho? I stopped counting at 4.

You have no business being in this hand :D

Yeah sorry you are right here, i saw 'trishan raises 800' in your HH and didn't notice you were already BB. My bad. But yeah squeeze plays certainly don't work as well when there are multiple limpers in 888pl. I tend to look for spots when there is only one limper and/or people i know will fold pre (which isn't many).

Because you know people will always call, then make your standard raises bigger. raising 5x pre with aces will always get paid, so you can win more on the few hands you do play, meaning you can wait longer before having to shove with A8 or something silly.

But you are right the loose/passiveness of a lot of people is hard to play against. I think it was doyle who said that only an idiot would bluff someone you know is going to call. Just wait for aces and shove. you will get pid off.
Riskers gamble, experts calculate.

if there a lots of limpers, hands like A8 dont play well because it is very hard to hit a hand that you want to go broke with.

when you play multiway, hands like A8 i will just fold, or if they are suited, just limp and try to hit a big hand.

hands like 57, T8 etc go up in value because you can hit a nut type hand with them that is well disguised. so i will play these hands more than i will play something like A8 or KJ, because multiway, their top pair value isn't great.

and yeah, as matthew said, if you want to isolate, then your raises should be AT LEAST pot sized, not the standard 3x or 4x
