I have a question to ask
i am in the process of maybe buying a single grand final ticket from someone that has more than one.
i cannot play this season's grand final however, as i will be interstate. i have asked dakota whether i can transfer it to the next season, and he seemed to think i can, but i would like confirmation on this.
so my question is twofold.
can i buy a ticket now, and hold it over for next season's grand final?
if, for some unknown reason, i cannot make the following season's grand final either, can i carry it over indefinitely?

My understanding is there has been a stop put on transferring GF tickets to future Grand Finals. Nathan might be the one to speak to about this.

If true, this is a really dumb idea.

i agree aaron, i don't think it would be much work to keep a small database for people that have tickets.
hell, a spreadsheet would do it

I don't think it's a case of the extra clerical work.

I think what was stopping was transferring one over if you didn't already have one... though I could be wrong.
If it stops, it stops, doesn't bother me.
It's one event, and you win entry for it - for THAT event. Not to the next one.
If you are allowed to transfer it, well done, good luck... but I don't think it matters.

Re: Holding over of Grand Final tickets for future seasons
i just dont see what the issue is with transferring your ticket, even if you only have one. if i get the ticket, i wouldn't be doing it just because i felt like it, its because i have had other committments that were organised before i knew the date of the grand final.
if i can't do it, then its ok, but i dont see a major problem with it. if there is a reason that i am overlooking, then thats all good

Re: Holding over of Grand Final tickets for future seasons
That made me LOL Scott, wd sir
Yeah, I can agree that if you win one ticket it should be used for THAT event. But if you win multiple tickets, what are you supposed to do? I'd rather keep a ticket then have to sell it. The entire idea behind holding tickets was that 888pl were keeping players interested in their products for another season. An extra ticket didn't mean just one more event - in essence it meant keeping that player around for future 888pl events, leading up to and including the Grand Final.

That argument isn't relevant in benny the cunt's case though - he hasn't even won a ticket, just bought one - so why should he be allowed to hold that over at all?

Re: Holding over of Grand Final tickets for future seasons
heya benny the cunt
u definately need to talk to Nathan in regards to this, i know if u have 2 GF tickets u can lay over 1 ticket to next season. if u have 3, then u have to get rid of the 3rd ticket(as Jmack is doing).
whether or not u can lay over ur 1 and only ticket to next season is a bit iffy at the moment, as the prizepool for this season is taking a hit due the multi GF winners so far this season. hopefully u can, if u cant then i suggest letting 1 of the bros play for u
but yeah pm garth or nathan for final word on this
