Re: GF Busto hand
So this is just a "poor me" hand? Cos strat seems fine, like the turn shove.

Dayrl is it? or Dante? No problem letting go, just got around to posting it is all.
And yes Aaron it is a bit of that.
If he check raised flop I still dont think I could have got away from it.

Re: GF Busto hand
really? flopped straight possible, and I would hardly have been surprised to run into a set there either.Conspiracy Theorist wrote:If he check raised flop I still dont think I could have got away from it.

I'm with Scott tho, BB should have been c/r there, that is what you use a big stack and a wet board for - where you're drawing to the nuts.

Re: GF Busto hand
Flopped straight was possible, but unlikely in my mind.
Flopped set did occur to me but again seemed unlikely given the turn check.
Are you saying the turn shove was a bad play rcon?

Re: GF Busto hand
That wasn't the point of my earlier post, which was directed at your indication you wouldn't be willing to lay down an over pair (of 8s) on a 657hh board. I think that is too loose.
But on the turn, you're betting 35k in to 3500+3500+3500+900+11500x3=45900 knowing the other two hands have to be drawing to something, so if one calls, they're both calling. At which point, you're in terrible shape
If you were playing this hand against 1 opponent, I can see the rational, but I don't think you're good often enough to warrant the push on the turn, particularly 9 handed.
edit: As Ben says, there is nothing wrong with what you did, I'm just not sure I'd play it that way myself.
