benny the cunt, i have to agree with you here.

I have very politely enquired about the timing of when the results/scoreboards will be updated. These enquiries have been posted on the forum as I didn't see the need to send an e-mail to 888pl - I figure they know about the issues & don't need me bugging them.

HOWEVER, given that we are now 2/3rd the way into the season which has approximately 3 weeks to run, I really think it would be nice to know where we are standing on the leaderboards & to trust that the leaderboards are accurate.

We are encouraged to chase the prizes on offer, however when you don't know if these prizes are within reach, you start to wonder "what is the point".

Don't get me wrong, I love 888pl & after playing other leagues, I doubt I would go back, but the reason I play 888pl is because of their professionalism.

Guys, don't let us down now!!

Guys, you are not alone there. I will support 888pl till I turn blue in the face, but with 3 weeks left of season 1 2010, the season that was promised as "all will be resolved in 2010", and still have these issues happening, really isn't good enough. I would suggest that the 888pl management simply say "that is enough", ask for their money back and move on with a different software developer. I am sure in this day and age with website developement, a reliable website developer could have most of the issues fixed within a week!!!

As far as the professionalism in venue goes, it is hard for the TC's in venue to give answers when all these issues are current. They don't want to let the team down, but have no info to give, so what can they do??

As a small highlight, something as simple as the MQF. The TC's at Challenge games all have to say that the winner gets XX amount of $$ plus a seat in the MQF, but when asked when the MQF is, can't even answer the question??!! That is not good. We as players who have played with the league for quite some time know that this issue will get resolved, but as you rightly pointed out, new players will simply say that this is a joke and go elsewhere. And that is an issue totally unrelated to the new website....

Going off topic for one second:
All I know is that our statistics are not being sent to 888pl correctly and most players now do not know where we sit on the ladder.

At what point do we sit there and say, do something or we go elsewhere, or do we just continue to take their standard lines??

to be honest, the issue with the new website and scoreboards is really not good enough. in fact, it borders on unprofessionalism.

i dont think i have ever thought that about NPL/888pl before now, but i am starting to think that about the website.

i am not doubting that it is hard to get it all sorted out, but it has been months since the new website was launched, and there are still major issues with it. quite frankly, that is just not good enough. it is better to have no website at all than a partly functioning one.

sadly, i also think the communication from management downwards has dropped off in recent times. i am not just talking about on this forum, but also in venue. in earlier times, the opening speech would be used to let players know about upcoming promotions, etc etc. this doesnt seem to be happening any more. i am not having a go at the tournament directors, because i dont think it is their fault. i just think that over the last couple of months, 888pl has sort of gone into a standstill where nothing seems to be filtering down to the players.

i understand that you guys are busy, but i think that mean that solid lines of communication would be even more important.

granted, i haven't played much lately, and i didn't participate in the recent state finals or grand final, so my comments may be unfounded, but it is just the perception i have getting, rightly or wrongly.


the issue with the website really, REALLY needs to get sorted out soon, or players really will become frustrated and stop playing.
