it might be hard, but to be honest, thats not our problem, its yours. things like this should really be set in stone

i agree. why not say 'players may recieve some extra prizes/incentives provided by our awesome partners 888 at a later date'

I think that possibly 888pl have become complacent in the fact that they are easily the best pub poker provider in South Australia. Would they appear to be slack on some of these occasions if there was another company right up their arse in terms of market share etc???

The Dream Team in reality is not on the target of a majority players, so there for whats its revelence?

I would suggest (without facts to back it up) that less then 10% of 888pl live players actually play online with the view to making the DT, in my local venue last season there was about 3 players playing 888pl online events regurally, this season I doubt if there are any and that includes myself, not sure about Mac and Krunchie.

With the change of focus back to in venue play and away from online games, is it time review the DT concept?
42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

In fairness I think the DT extras were pretty good.

Paid flights and entry to the GF, DT ring, Hat photos etcs and the entry to the WSOP Sat in June.

Very impressive if you ask me.

That is exactly my point, these were the prizes for Season 2. Season 1 winners had an unsized/unfitted ring (in some cases, it didn't even fit). We didn't get a hat, or merch etc. Instead of the WSOP sat entry, we had $250 for our 888/Pacific Poker online account. Depending on where/how you won the DT, you didn't get an entry into the GF (at least the top 5 didn't on the Dream Team Leaderboard).

My question is, who is actually *on* the DT? Do the winners from S1 still count as DT members? Isn't the count at 20 or so now, considering all the Semi Finals/GF placings? Wasn't this supposed to be spoken up as elite members of the 888pl poker community? Bar a fancy ring and recognition, I don't see a greater plan for Dream Team members. It doesn't seem very "special" for me.

And what happened to that suggested 9 man sng with Warnie, from S1? Never heard anything on that.

Well I haven't heard anything official but I am getting the 250 into the online account. As for being a member of the dreamteam, I think its just a seasonal thing. IE its new group each season.

And from what I've seen its top 5 of the leaderboard. SA & Vic state champ and top 3 in the GF.

Not sure what else is planned but I'm sure we'll be let know in due course.

On my certificate it did say entry into the WSOP Sat on June 6th.

I must confess to having a chortle at this :)

@Aaron: dreamteam is in no way, shape or form even slightly special. It is NOT what it's being represented as, and you know it, but that's another discussion.

I think that what you did get for it was pretty good, and normally I'd say you should be happy with that, but I completely see where you're coming from with wanting some clarity.

Nice name change for benny the cunt by the way :)
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

I'm just sick of not having any answers from 888.

It's like, for similar, future promotions, what's the point? Is what's offered going to be presented? Is there a real need to play x amount of games over a season anymore?

I've had numerous dream team members come up to me in venue and ask what it actually means. I tell them I have no idea.
