my apologies, i didn't look at the link till then. looks very interesting.

i have been doing a bit of reading on the whirlpool forums, and it seems you can get a 10% discount on vodafone plans if you are an RAA member. very interesting indeed. i will have to check it out.

been looking at the vodafone deals - they are the best going around if you take into account the 10% off for raa members.

so i have decided that i am going to get an iphone. 69 plan plus 5 for the 16gb phone, 500 meg data.

the mrs is going to get a HTC Magic, and to be brutally honest, they look fkn awesome. i nearly went with onne of them instead of the iphone, because you can get them on a heaps cheaper plan..

they also have google navigator software, which is a fully fledged turn by turn voice controlled gps system, similar to tomtom or whatever for iphone. but the best bit, is its free. it looks awesome.

the magic will be on the 29 plan with 500 worth of data for $10 more, which is a pretty awesome deal for a phone like the magic.

in terms of coolness, they both kick the blackberrys and nokia's asses (although they dont have a full keyboard, which some people like)

why have you chosen the 16gb over the 32gb?

Theres nothing wrong with the HTC either.

I'm now looking into the Dual Sim mobiles, for when we go interstate, after a bit of investigation I will use Optus/Virgin as my 2nd sim because the have the best coverage other than Telstra.

32gb costs more and is not needed, IMO.

this. 32 gig really is a LOT, especially since half an hour videos are compressed down to like 80 meg to fit on the screen. it would seriously take forever to fill up 16 gig, let alone 32. and im not going to use it to store videos, they will be transferred on and off the pc.

i figure, 8-10 gig of songs is still a few thousand, and it leaves plenty of room for vids and apps.

plus its $10 more a month, and i dont see the value
