Inter-Regional Rivalries

hi all,

i have seen in recent weeks, by talk only, that there is a reasonable rivalry between the NE and NW, with the Sema4 Palais and the Pooraka FC being the warzones.

I must say, im quite jealous!

being a SW'er, scoff if you dare!, im seeing no real rivalries between our Southern players, or the territorial possession of our precious venues.

i can squarely point the finger of blame (or is it desire) at the venues for drawing potential devious players into thier venues through fantastic prizes that are on offer from your respective NE/NW Venues.

Dont get me wrong our venues in the South West are great (See Dave and Staff at the Watermark, oh yeah Matt P and Jane too) but numerous venues are lacking the potential that they can exploit!

Come on SOUTHERN VENUES pickup your game!

Now back to the point at hand,

I'm sure that this has been raised before, but i am here-by laying a challenge! yes a challenge!

I challenge any of you NW or NE players to venture to the Watermark on a Wednesday night, and see if you can mix it with us SW'ers!

Winners take bragging rights!

lets see if you can step on our turf and hold your own against the preverbial Sheep in Wolves clothing! yes thats right SHEEP IN WOLVES CLOTHING!

Softies and Tap Beer = 1 Stamp
Stubbies and Spirits = 2 Stamps
Meals = 3 Stamps
Poker Special $12.95 (meal of the week + Pint) = 4 Stamps

Prizes:
1st = $50
2nd = $30
3rd = $20

Runners:
60-80 varies each week

Bounty:
Carton on the head of last weeks winner (or Subst. if player is no show)

Special Draws:
Each week there are promo packs to be won, courtesy of Dave and Staff at the Watermark
