And to be quite honest I do not care where the incident occurred, at what time, how many hours after the event or where it occurred. If an incident of this nature stems from a poker tournament then penalties will be issued.

Exactly what I thought as I read over both pages.

So "how will this look on TodayTonight?" has become the modernday version of "What would Brian Boitano do?"

Brad, I agree entirely with the course of action taken by the NPL. They most definitely need to act, and swiflty, in situations such as this.

I was there, I know who they both were, and I know a large amount of what happened.

this incident is a long time coming, i think everyone expected it to occur eventually, but unfortunately measures really had 2 be pushed for the safety of the players, i dont fear anyone or anything and know one will take me away from a venue i play from because i know the right actions will be taken
I'm gonna take over the world

I must be living in the wilderness!!!

I only found out on Wednesday nite who was banned and I must say I am shocked, really, really, shocked to hear what happened.

I have enjoyed his company many, many times. I have even spoken of him in my posts and considered him to be a good poker buddy.

It does seem a little strange that only one person was banned for life? Unless, the other person was totally non aggressive then that would make him/her the victim.

But after reading some of the other posts it seems these two guys have been at it for some time. I have no idea who the other person was or whether he has been penalised for being involved or not. I just feel it should never have come to this point of aggression.

In hind sight, maybe someone like the TD or some of their friends, could have nipped it in the bud when it was in it's infantsy, rather than let it fester into a full on altercation.

It's so easy to come up with a solutions after the fact. Maybe we should all take notice of how and what can happen when people go too far and someone goes on tilt.

In regards to the penalty?

Some, might say it's a little over the top some may not, but NPL has to be seen to be protecting their Punters at all times.

I'm just so disappointed that it came down to a "life ban" as he will be missed by quite a few of us.

NPlease note I'm not creating a problem just a concerned punter.
Remember, It takes 8 muscles to smile :D and 40 to frown :(
