So the new 888PL website has been up and running, and it looks like the results are finally accurate. It's still less useful than the old NPL website though. Can we get some changes made?
- The 'My Scoreboards' page is a dead end. Each venue or scoreboard listed should link to the actual scoreboard so that we can see how far from qualifying or first place we are. This page is just a tease.
- The 'My Event History' is convoluted. Rather than having to expand each line to see the placing and points, each result should show in full on a single line. Plus, each result should link to that game's result list so that you can see who played and placed for that game.
- A game's results should be much easier to find. Currently, we have to use the Venue Finder, search on the Suburb of the venue, click the venue, click the Results tab, and then finally the week for the results we're after.
- There seems to be no way to view another player's results! We can see their 'My Scoreboards' summary, but never their placings, unless we already know when and where they played and by using the convoluted method in the previous point for each result. The 'My Scoreboards' page should have a link to show that player's results.
- There seems to be no permanent and obvious link to 888plforum.com.au from the 888PL website! Sure, it's here and there, for example, in the tips for new players page, but I had a hard time finding it.
- The old NPL forum had a way to tag your friends, so that they stood out amongst the masses. I liked that and would enjoy having that feature again, plus also a Friend's summary page so that we can see at a glance how we and all our friends are performing.
