Not sure how any of those two replys help....but it is a serious problem that needs to be addressed......

It should be easy, observe any other language typed in a 888pl event, report those involved, and eventually it goes away...!!

Sorry Jmack I was being silly. I have had the flu for the last week and my head is in la la land.

What I had said is that I used to find this a big problem but that I now use google translate which allows me to see what they are saying. Just copy the text and paste the chat into there, select detect dialect as from and too English and there you go you get to see everything the offenders are saying. You can still report the conversation so that the issue can be addressed for the future this is just a temporary fix until the issue is addressed.

On Pokerstars its easy. Last night two Russian fools felt it necessary to speak in their own language right on the bubble. I called a moderator because a.) they were speaking in another language and b.) could possibly have been colluding and the mod came and warned them and they stopped. Something similar on 888 would be nice but the question for them is whether the extra $$$ to pay mod staff is worth it.

Screenshot and send to info@888pl.com.au

I am working on getting the message out there about player code of conduct online and I am that pissed with a small minority that I am on the verge of naming and shaming again on the website and actually creating a specific profile page for these users.

I didn't think foreign launguages was an issue within the league? What type of conduct are you referring to here?

In answer to Trishan's post

1.) English only at our tables, whether virtual or real.
2.) Do not multi account
3.) Do not collude with other players
4.) Do not soft play
5.) And the big one - DO NOT ABUSE, DEGRADE or INSULT any of my players in any way or in any language.
5.1) Do not have a sulk and bring up privacy laws when I use your real name you gutless wonders; who think anonymity is an invitation to become a dickhead.
5.2) and finally don't wait ten minutes and think I have left and talk up big how you're going to take me on and meet me at a venue and when I call you out again you run and hide behind your brother, friend or father's skirt - cause 90% of the time he is as big a twat as you are. Any guy who picks on anyone (let alone those identified as females) through any medium deserves whatever comes there way in my PERSONAL opinion.

I am sick of the attitude and vile filth that is permeating within the 888PL online culture, I almost contemplated a Jay and Silent Bob type mission of visiting some of these people personally at their place of residence. Joking obviously.

But something drastic has to occur for this change in the culture to occur and I will be coming down very hard on any player who acts inappropriately in venue or online. I actually dread the day when some Keyboard hero decided to insult someone and said warrior turns up in a venue carpark beaten black and blue.

As he (and the rest of us in 888pl) should be. Some behaviour on here has been remarkably horrid of late.
