I really don't see the argument Jo.

All of those who play for DT and State score board play more than one venue. So I doubt the additional days will have much to do with it.

And no it's not easier for 13/12/12/13. We have seen again and again the lack of understanding the majority of our players have when it comes to season start/end, the same can be said for our clients. So having season start and end dates the same as yearly quarters works well for the majority involved.

Also having two weeks of additional income for our coffers isn't something to be sneezed at either.

I'm more than happy to keep this debate open if anyone else agrees with Jo's sentiments or raises another valid point as to why this shouldn't be done.

OK, let me explain in a little more detail.

As you know, last season I was trying for the State Leaderboard no 1. To do this I was playing 5 nights a week. I have also explained previously that to play a venue, it does not allow you to play either the AK or the Murrin, which are the 2 games you need to do consistantly well in to chase the DT. I didn't mind last season because it was not my focus.

This season, I have given up Wed in venue to try and give myself a more even shot at both DT and State. This has been working ok so far, but I also know from previous experience that just ONE game can mean the difference to placings in these leaderboards, so to have a season that offers a disproportionate number of games could mean the difference of a DT and or State leader spot......

I understand what u mean about the 2 weeks revenue, but do you expect many runners in venue over xmas/new year anyway? maybe an on-line type of championship over that period might work better?

I have been trying to get the AK an earlier starting time for a while, but I suppose Jamie's suggestion will also do the job, although it might become a bit of a crap shoot at the end that way....

Its pretty whack the AK/Murrin takes 4h to complete when it used to take 2h.
