Biggest news story .......Crows sack Craigy mid season as crows slump to 3wins and 8 losses

No, you were wrong about the 1st part, it wouldn't be a big news story at all.

True, Adelaide hasn't been consistently woeful like a few other clubs, and hence don't have a raft of top and priority draftees coming through.

Am I right in that, as of the next draft, there are no more priority picks?

Adelaide has drafted really well in the last two drafts - with a lot of players running around in the SANFL which will be good in a year or three.

Considering Goodwin and Edwards, along with Rutton and Bock weren't even selected in the national draft and had to wait for rookie/mid-season/pre-season drafts, you have to give players time.

I think the Gold Coast have a plethora of selections inside the first 20, maybe even 10 or more.

This is the worst year to finish bottom.

Yeah I think the first two available picks for clubs other than GC are 4th and 6th?

Players GC would have received in 2008 if the picks were the same and selected in order

Jack Watts
Nic Naitanui
Stephen Hill
Michael Hurley
Daniel Rich
Jack Ziebell
Stelle Sidebottom

And here's the 2006 Draft picks they would get

Bryce Gibbs
Scott Gumbleton
Lachlan Hansen
Travis Boak
Joel Selwood
David Armitage
Andrejs Everitt

tyson edwards was also taken in the pre season draft

gundog, melbourne have been the second most disappointing club of the past 20 years, only to richmond.
in the last 5 years, melbourne have had no less than 5 top 5 draft picks.

how many have the crows had? NONE! EVER

done a bit of googling, and the only reference i found about laidley possibly joining west coast was before he signed with port.

he also signed with port for 2 years

On AFL Teams last night Parkin suggested Laidley might still go to West Coast after this year.

I think Parkin might just be getting a tad senile.

Still great though.
