not sure about brisbane minor premiers - to do that, they will have to beat geelong, collingwood and st kilda in melbourne probably (haven't looked at the draw) and i can't see them beating all of those teams in melbourne.

having said that, brisbane on the line does look like a good bet this week - there is no way that melbourne can hold down both brown and fevola.

i might actually wait until i know brown is definitely playing before betting on that game.


call me a mad supporter, but the crows at +40.5 @ $1.72 is a good bet also. i really dont see them getting smashed again this week. they have copped an absolute bake in the media this week. i dont think they will win, but i think they will get closer than most people expect.

they always play well at etihad as well, and the loss or bock this week wont be as pronounced because of the dog's smaller forward line

will double check the odds when i get home, but i think i will have $10 on the crows at +40.5, and the same on the lions at -19.5

Freo has played the top 2 teams in consecutive week away from home. Both matches were hard fought and i can see freo being a little off this week.

Brisbane at line -19.5 $1.92
The price slightly out because brisbane have won only 2-11 at the mcg in recent times. Melbourne haven't won 3 in a row since 2006 and it wont continue

North Melbourne to win margin between 1-39 $3.75
Domination in the ruck should make this game closer than people will expect and i can see North Melbourne causing an upset.
