agree with des here.

any chance of making the second and 4th breaks 20 mins instead of 30, and making the tea break 50 mins?

i agree here too. a long dinner break is always good.

however, the quick food that the WAFC provided (foccacia's, hot dogs etc) was awesome, but 30 mins doesn't really give people a chance for a sit down meal if thats what they choose.

There might be an issue on whether 20 mins is enough to colour up stacks though, although most breaks have been about this long before i think.

i am happy for the tourney to go half an hour longer even.

that only affects a small amount of people but will help a lot more people

I sorta wish I'd played at least some 888pl right now.

definitely good to have it at a venue big enough have a single flight, although i understand why you need to share it around.

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback. Glad you like the blind structure for this one, I think it will work nicely.

In regards to the longer dinner break it did cross my mind when I did the blind structure but we have to make sure that we try & get the game finished before pumpkin hour if at all humanly possible.

I think you guys need the 30 min breaks after more than 2hrs play and I know that we will need it to get the chip outs done.

What I suggest is this.......

From the 10K/20K/2K level until the 50K/100K/10K level we chop 5 minutes off each level thus making them 25 minutes levels. IF we also chop 5 mins off the last break then tht gives us the extra 30 mins we need to add to the dinner break.

LMK you thought.

Perhaps you can ask westies to do a pre-order during the earlier break so that dinner is ready at the dinner break..

You can use my Westies card for points :)

how many people do you expect to have left in the tourney at 10pm?

i would think it would be no more than 3 or so tables.

at that time, i doubt that people will want more than a drink/toilet/fresh air break.

what about making this break 5-10 mins, just long enough for you guys to chip out.

then an extra 20 mins could be added to the dinner break, whilst keeping the levels at 30 mins.

if i was still in the tourney at 10pm, i would think that 25 mins or half an hour for a break would be too long, i reckon most of that time will be spend waiting around.

pre-ordering would be tough because you have to allow space for tables.

thoughts?

the fact that the discussion is over finding an extra few minutes for dinner means that it is a very good structure

Ben, I guess I'm thinking from the point of view of the poor 888PL staff who have been on their feet ALL DAY and would maybe like 10 minutes sit down at that time of night.

But then if you wish to deny these poor hard working souls are few minutes off their feet I'll let you break the news to them. ;)
