Cash venue Inner Northern area

Postby Bob B » Thu Jul 01, 2010 6:00 pm

I'm no too sure where or who to aim this at so I took a punt and placed it on here. Move it if I'm wrong.

I was talking to Ash at the White Horse Tuesday night and asked if they would do a cash game of say $5 or $10 buyin?

Apparently the group who own the pub said no when they took over the pub a while back.

However, as I said to Ash did anyone tell them if it were a cashy then they'd save the $75 they contribute towards the prize pool.

I had a quick chat with some of the regulars and they'd be more than happy with a $5 game not to get rich but to spice up the prize pool and numbers a little.

Plus there's a good chance the numbers will improve the bar and dining room numbers so it's a win, win, for everyone.

If not the White Horse is there another venue out this way interested???

Pooraka?

White Horse isn't exactly inner north in my mind.

There are issues with venues owned by groups and CBI operations. This isn't the place to get into it, but this is a group management decision and they will not budge on this.

Thanks for your reply Garth.

My bad meant to write outer north M8. That's okay just thought there may be an opening with a different approach. I was hoping to add numbers to the White Horse for those who want to have a meal instead of a sausage sanger at Pooraka.

I heard the Cavan are opening as an 888PL game are they in the same group if not would they be interested in being a cash venue?

As you said this not the right place to openly chat but the only way the punters like myself can offer an open dicussion to gain a response.

When I said not to discuss I was discussing operational policies of venue groups.

Cavan is starting up very soon, it will be a double header game, but again belongs to a hotel group so might be an issue to get a CBI game up and running.

I am working on a few ideas now but cannot disclose too much Bob. Sorry.

That's fine Garth hope something comes out of it and thanks again for the reply.

Did you happen to read my bit on the new home games?

Yeah right Matty, Kapunda not around the corner or just down the road M8.

I was hoping for an 888PL game in the area rather than going to one of the other operators venues in the area.

Thanks for the heads up but too far for me for a weekly venue M8.
